Envisioning Suburban Utopia

This project envisions a suburban utopia for Nansha, Guangzhou, China, rethinking public life and space in the context of China’s urbanization. Drawing inspiration from the U.S. suburban model, it explores a balanced density (FAR: 2) that accommodates essential infrastructure. The design features a multi-level facility system, preserves farmland and canals, addresses sea level rise, and harmonizes residential space, workspace, and community center with bike network and water transport, reimagining suburban living through innovative and resilient infrastructure.
